Description

Dated from the late 1960’s to 1970’s classic.  The action is nice and low.  The saddle is very low but could probably be replaced if wanted.  The body is in above average condition.  Original chipboard case included. An after market piezo under saddle pickup was added at some point.  Sounds nice actually.

Key Characteristics & Details
  • Production: Late 1960s to early 1970s, manufactured at the Nippon Gakki factory in Japan.
  • Label: The iconic “Red Label” indicates its early vintage status.
  • Tonewoods: Laminated spruce top (often 3-ply) and mahogany back and sides, resulting in a balanced, loud, and punchy sound.
  • Sound: Known for a “dry, woody” voice with strong projection, often compared to high-end vintage dreadnoughts.
  • Design: A traditional dreadnought (jumbo) shape, featuring lightweight x-bracing that allows for quick sound vibration.
