Brand new Dan Wall Montagnana/Maggini model cello. Purchased in July from the Baroque Violin Shop Cincinnati, Ohio
Solid hand carved, a combination of two famous makers.
The bold broad pattern combined with the delicate inlay pattern make this Baroque Violin Shop’s most popular cello.
I recently have had this cello professionally set-up by Master Luthier Jules Azzi. I had him replace the bridge with a new Belgium style bridge. Mr. Azzi is the areas most prominent string instrument luthier, who’s work is trusted by many players of the Cincinnati Symphony Orchestra.
This complete package will include a new extremely lightweight poly/carbon case, 2 professional level and 2 intermediate level cello bows. A music stand with light, and a few hundred dollars worth of popular cello arrangements.
I currently have a set of Thomastik Versum Soloist strings installed. At $350, these are professional grade strings.
I will also include a set of Thomastik-Infeld Spirocore G/C with Larsen Soloist A/D
costing close to $400 a set.
Also included will be the original French Bridge, several luthier tools, rock end pin stopper, rosin, cello humidifier, and other odds and ends.
I have played $50,000 – $100,000 professional cellos that didn’t sound as well as this cello. I’m selling the cello, with all of the accessories, strings, case, and bows, for less than the cost of the cello.
